MICROFAB TECHNICIAN
Job Description: Technical Operations Lead [Uber-Tech]
Duties and responsibilities - Primary technical person for lab and
cleanroom operations supporting small but highly motivated leading-edge
innovation company.
Primary Skill: Provides solutions before the problem happens.
Job Requirements:
"Must-have" Skills/Knowledge/Experience at a demonstrable level
Laboratory
R&D environment and/or Custom/Prototype fabrication
Equipment
operation, maintenance and repair
Vacuum
systems - pumps, gauges, MFC's, build and maintain
Electronics:
digital, RF and power: board/subsystem/apparatus level
Optical
microscopes, AFM and SEM
Legacy
fab tools from the 80's and 90's - litho, etch, coat, probe, inspect
Physical
plant - HVAC, electrical, plumbing
Calibration
to standards - sub-nanometer precision
Attention
to detail
Precise,
economical and careful,
Document
all work - record data with accuracy and leave good notes for the next person
Must know the difference between
good enough and perfect, and when to strive for each
Extensive
hand and power tool experience including machine shop skills
Passion
for excellence and not excuses - Innovative but not a Dreamer

Cleanroom
training and cleaning procedures experience
Fab
equipment operations
Microscopes
AFM and SEM
spinner,
aligner,
stepper,
etcher
Lasers
and optics experience -
assemble, debug

UV and visible
lasers, high power lasers and laser safety
Patent
development experience
