Creative Microsystems Corporation (CMC) is a small company specializing in advanced technology development. This position is available in Waitsfield, VT.
This position is for a Network and IT Support staff position that will initially oversee and ensure implementation of our new server and network upgrade, and then run the daily support of the network and attached devices. Since the business is small, our IT tasks will initially require a full-time commitment. Afterwards we will work collaboratively to evolve the role’s responsibilities and time commitments depending on your skills and interest. These include software development, embedded coding, technical writing, and other interesting projects. This will not be your typical network admin job if you want something different!

Core Job Requirements
5+ years running network as administrator / senior tech
Ability to specify network buildout requirements for multi-zone segregated, secure network
Monitor network health, errors, intrusions, incidents, emergencies, etc.
Perform and maintain server and data backup
Comfortable with punch downs and general physical wiring of networks (the in-wall wiring is complete already)
Required Skills and Experience
Firewalls and ruleset, switches (layer 2 and 3), routers, enterprise wireless access points, VPN access
Segregated network using multi-zone VLANs and other best-industry practice to secure network
Local Windows Server and workstations
MS Active Directory
Intrusion Detection / Prevention System (i.e., Snort)
Centralized compliance (i.e., patches, anti-virus/malware, etc.)
Manage and configure MS hosted Exchange and supported services. Integrate into local Active Directory
