CMC is actively seeking Firmware Engineers with cross disciplinary skills. If you have worked with busses such as I2C and MIPI, have experience in designing and writing device control code in C and C++, if you use tools such as an oscilloscope and a logic analyzer to debug prototype hardware and enjoy learning how to use new chips and custom protocols, CMC wants to talk to you!

desired skills and experience:

  • • Embedded software in C or C++ or an RTOS such as VxWorks or RTEMS.

  • Multithreaded applications including testing and debugging in C++/C on Linux or Unix environments.

  • One or more assembly languages a plus

  • Debugging prototype hardware. Comfortable with logic analyzer, oscilloscope, bus analyzers

  • Linux

  • Working with customers to develop product requirements

  • Working with cross-disciplinary teams to specify and deliver products.

  • Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical people

  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a small team

  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States. (We do not sponsor employment visas)

  • Background in some or all of software design, mechanical design, electrical design, optical design.
