CMC originated in 1989 as Diffraction LTD and reorganized as Creative Microsystems Corporation in 2005. The company was rebranded as Creative Micro in 2019. Its founders are Julie and Bill Parker, both MIT Media Lab graduates with a passion for holography and electro-optics.
